Dianne is the Principal at YoungMinds and works with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of personal and emotional challenges including:

  • Depression and anxiety including panic and social disorders
  • OCD and post-traumatic stress disorder
  • Developmental concerns and learning disorders
  • Family relationship problems

Melinda specialises in educational and developmental assessments such as:

  • Cognitive/ intellectual, learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorders and behavioural assessments
  • Childhood problems and disorders such as anxiety, depression, social difficulties, self esteem/confidence, behavioural issues, grief/loss, coping with separation/divorce
  • Development disabilities

Michaela has an interest in educational and developmental issues affecting children and young people and their families. These include:

  • Assessment of behavioural, developmental, cognitive/intellectual difficulties
  • Developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorders
  • Supporting individuals and families to positively cope with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, behaviour and parenting concerns, resiliency and positive social-emotional coping skills

Jessica Carroll

Registered Psychologist – BBehSc (Psych), M Psych (Ed & Dev), MAPS

Jessica has a special interest in educational and developmental issues across the lifespan. She works with children, adolescents, adults and their families with regards to:

  • Emotional, social and behavioural difficulties
  • Parenting
  • Life stress and adjustment issues
  • Assessment of cognitive and learning difficulties

 

Yvette McKinnon

Speech Language Pathologist

Yvette has had over 13 years’ experience working with children in a range of school settings, including primary schools, high schools, special schools, and Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP) settings. Yvette has a wealth of practical knowledge in helping children aged 3-18 years in the areas of:

  • specific speech problems (articulation, phonological, and motor-speech disorders)
  • language problems (both comprehension and expression)
  • literacy difficulties (including helping children with dyslexia)
  • fluency problems (stuttering)
